October to March for almost everything on this page — the plains are pleasant and the light is at its best. Haridwar and Rishikesh stretch to April. Summer is hot but very quiet at the temples, and the monsoon has its own following at the ghats.
Package prices exclude the fare to and from the starting city, but we book it for you at cost if you ask. We will also tell you honestly which train or flight to take — the overnight from Delhi to Varanasi is usually a better idea than the early flight.
